Peppermint Grove Early Learning Environments

We believe that the environment plays a vital role in shaping a child's learning journey. That's why we've carefully crafted a holistic and beautiful space that inspires curiosity, creativity, and growth.

Indoor Environment

  • Learning Areas: Our indoor learning areas are designed to be flexible, functional, and aesthetically pleasing, with beautiful and inspiring art, to create a sense of awe and wonder.
  • Kitchen: Our kitchen is the heart of our centre, where fresh, wholesome meals are prepared daily. Children are encouraged to participate in cooking experiences, fostering a love for food and nutrition.
  • Art Shed: Our dedicated art shed is a space where children can express their creativity, build empowerment in expressing their own unique interpretation of the world and have freedom to explore through many different materials, mediums and genres.

Outdoor Environment

  • Natural Outdoors: Our outdoor space is designed to connect children with nature, with gardens, trees, and a natural playground that encourages exploration and discovery.
This learning environment is rich with possibilities, with at times being transformed into the natural backdrop for a story, to become the open-air art studio for our artistic pursuits and a parkland for a lunchtime picnic.
Our outdoor space is our sanctuary, a place to become in touch with the natural environment and feel a sense of wellbeing within our amazing world.
  • Animal Farm: Our animal farm is home to a variety of friendly animals, providing children with opportunities to learn about responsibility, empathy, and the natural world.

Cultural Recognition

Our environment is designed to be respectful of diverse cultures, recognise and authentically explore Palawa Kiani indigenous connections and reflect the backgrounds and traditions of our families and children.

Aesthetics

We believe that beauty and aesthetics play a vital role in creating a positive learning environment. Our centre is designed to be visually appealing, with natural materials, plants, and artwork used throughout.

Holistic Learning:

Our environment is designed to support holistic learning, with opportunities for children to develop physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively.

By providing a thoughtful and intentional environment, we aim to inspire a love of learning, foster creativity and curiosity, and support the overall well-being of our children.
